· Brakes (Drums and Disc): The brake is that system of the car that brings your car to a halt. In other words, it decelerates your car by bringing it to a stop when the brake is applied. There are two major types of brakes; they are the drum and disc brake. The drum brake consists of a combination of a metal drum and brake shoes; the shoes press outward to apply pressure to the drum in order to bring the car to a stop. While a disc brake uses calipers to clasp brake pads to brake rotors made of metal to bring the car to a stop.


· Chassis: This is the base frame of a car, it has the suspension and power train attached to it.


· Air filter: The air filter helps to prevent dirt, debris, dust, and other contaminants from gaining entrance into the engine of the car.


· Air bags: The airbag is a safety feature that consists of air-filled cushions that is deployed immediately in the event of an accident to prevent injury to people in the car.


· ABS: This is the short form of Anti-Lock Brake System. It helps to prevent the car wheels from locking when the brake is suddenly applied to bring the car to a stop.


· Coolant: The coolant is also referred to as antifreeze, it is a combination of water and ethylene glycerol that helps to control the temperature of the car preventing excess heat and freezing.


· Fuel Economy: This refers to the fuel consumption of a car after it has traveled over certain distances. The distance is described in miles per gallon.


· Gearbox: The gear system is what controls the movement of gears in the car. It can be automatic or manual, it controls how the car responds to different driving conditions like climbing a hill, moving on level surface.


· Horsepower: This is a unit meant for measuring the power or rating of an engine. A car with a high horsepower means more power and ability of the car to push faster.


· Oil: This is the lubricant that circulates in the engine and other parts of the car to reduce tear and wear. It helps to prevent overheating and corrosion of the engine parts.


· Fuel Injection: This is the system that injects fuel into the internal combustion engine at high pressure to cause combustion and produce power.

· Cylinder: This refers to the cavities in the engine block, it houses the pistons and it is where the combustion takes place. In some vehicles it can be four, six, or eight depending on the engine configuration.
